Successes in South-East England
Launchpad, the module that helps customers to prepare to get back into work, then gives them an opportunity to complete a work placement, has been one of our biggest successes in Kent, Surrey and Sussex.Right from the start, we’ve been able to move a large percentage of our customers into sustainable employment.
After our first Launchpad in Brighton last year, four of our customers gained permanent retail assistant roles in Next, New Look, Primark and Wyevale Garden Centre. Other Launchpads have seen customers move into permanent roles in care homes as care assistants, other retail roles and florist. And in Crawley, one of our customers was inspired to set up their own cleaning business.
In Dover last September, one customer went to interview for a position as general assistant in a theatre, and was offered the Assistant Manager role! Another customer who gained a role as a receptionist was assured of quick promotion but the management who were so impressed with her work ethic.
In Ramsgate this year, one customer was offered a permanent role as a Negotiator at Lovetts solicitors as a direct result of her work placement. One customer was so pleased with what she got out of the Launchpad that she wrote to her job coach to say ‘thank you’. “I rave about Pinnacle People to anyone that'll listen to me. I've recommended you to lots of people - I just hope they get from it what I have. I can see why you wanted to work for them so badly, they (you) change people’s lives in an amazing way. I think in a much more positive way now and don't let stuff get me down like I used too. Anyway, once again thanks, I couldn't have done it without your guidance.”
Success for Pinnacle Customers
Pinnacle People gives customers a helping hand
Jobcentre Plus refers many people to Pinnacle People and because of our strong network and family of companies, we have been able to secure many of them a place on the Future Job Fund (FJF) scheme within Pinnacle PSG.
Jon is one such customer who showed himself to be a reliable and efficient worker, greatly impressing his managers.
As part of the FJF scheme, Pinnacle People worked with Jon to give him the tools to help him find a new permanent role.
