Based in: Thames Valley Area, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire

(Thames Valley: Aylesbury, Bracknell, Banbury, Chesham, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Reading, Slough, High Wycombe, Didcot, Newbury, Witney, Abingdon, Maidenhead and Windsor).

Job Purpose Summary: An exciting and rewarding role to Mentor, Support and Guide people who are unemployed get back to work and start their own business.

We deliver public-sector funded programmes to support long term unemployed and disadvantaged people back into sustainable work. We also deliver training and learning as well as design and operate community and life solutions.

Job Description:

• Coach, Support and Guide people who are unemployed looking to start their own business.
• Meet customers face to face to assess their needs, aspirations and deciding best practice in moving their business forward.
• Setting SMART targets to help and support customers achieve continuous improvement and get back into work.
• Create an individually tailored programme of activity, managing participation and progress and the successful movement into employment of a group of customers.
• Support and guide customer’s on a one to basis into employment by assisting and developing business proposals and application forms.
• A source to help and support customers overcome their barriers and needs and become self employed.
• Ensure mentor / mentee relationships are productive
• Continue to provide support once the customer is back in work.

Skill and experience:

• Previous mentoring experience.
• Experience in developing business proposals
• Business acumen.
• Experienced in setting up a business or running a business.
• An experienced manager in any industry.
