Pinnacle People Communities
Pinnacle People
Communities is currently working in partnership with several
charity and community organisations on environmental and
regeneration projects around the Greater Manchester
area.
Our customers learn new skills and
gain work experience and confidence. Project supervisors pass on
their skills and experience to the customers and encourage them to
develop their skills.

Our services
We provide a number of services,
including:
- Job brokerage
- Work placements
- Training
- Outplacements
to help employers get the most from
the resources we can offer. We work with people of all ages and
abilities.
Our current projects
One of our current
projects involves working with young people between the ages of 18
and 21 around Birmingham, London, Essex and Kent. These young
people have all been unemployed for some time and we give them a
chance to learn some work skills and build on their work
experience. The aim is to use work placements to help build their
confidence and give them the tools they need to get back into work.
The work placements provide training under the supervision of
experienced workers and they also receive safety clothing and
health and safety training.
The work placements are in their local
communities so they know the area and are able to help bring about
improvements for everyone. A lot of the work placements involve
improving outside space and so make the community environment a
more enjoyable place to be.
Ongoing projects
Threshold
Threshold works in partnership with others to
deliver a choice of excellent opportunities for homeless and
vulnerable people. They enable them to become more independent and
to make a positive contribution to their communities.
The Pinnacle People Communities team works in
partnership with Threshold to help them prepare supported housing,
and is currently looking into developing further projects with
Threshold so watch this space.
Holts Village Project, Oldham
This project in Oldham to combat problems with
anti-social behaviour, fly tipping and high maintenance, which is
affecting the appearance of the area. Pinnacle People Communities
is working
in partnership with Housing 21 and First
Choice Homes Oldham to improve the environment in the areas that
need it most.
National Cycle Network
We have been working for some time with Sustrans (National Cycle
Network) to provide a safe environment for the local communities
who use it. We’ve improved the ground work, reduced and rebuilt
walls and general brickwork and helped to tidy up the whole
area.
We have been using the Elisabeth Svendsen
Trust for Children and Donkeys (EST) as our base and also carry out
work for them.
The Elisabeth Svendsen Trust for Children and Donkeys
(EST)
EST is a UK based charity dedicated to
providing riding therapy with donkeys to children with special
needs and disabilities.
Pinnacle People Communities works with EST
Manchester to provide property and grounds maintenance. Projects to
date include providing raised beds for the children to garden in,
painting outbuildings and refurbishing a memorial garden on the
site.
Abbey Hey allotments, Gorton
Pinnacle People Communities works with
Manchester City Council on various projects to improve community
allotment sites.
One project that we are heavily involved in is
at Abbey Hey. This project involves developing a Conservation and
Eco Learning Centre, Woodwork Learning Centre and a Community Cafe
and shop to help educate local school children and provide the
local community with new facilities.
Abbey Hey is entirely reliant on charitable
donations, so any help we can offer them is greatly appreciated. We
also get involved in their Spring and Summer fairs, which they use
to raise money.
