One of the contracts will deliver the South London Adult Employment Programme, with the remaining three all delivering the Department for Work and Pensions’ (DWP) Trailblazer Programmes. Combined, these will see Pinnacle People help more than 5000 people over the next two years.

The South London Adult Employment Programme, to be delivered on behalf of the European Social Fund (ESF) and DWP, offers a range of bespoke employment services to people aged over 50 who live in the London boroughs of Richmond, Kingston, Sutton, Merton, Bromley, Bexley and Croydon.

Pinnacle People Director Jane Baxter said she was delighted to secure the contract, which will run from January 2017 until 2020.

“The South London Adult Employment Programme is a great opportunity to expand our employment services out even further into different groups of society,” she said.

“With retirement ages increasing, there’s never been a time where such support will have so much positive impact to our customers, their communities and the local labour market.

“For some people, not being able to secure employment can be the result of a range of issues – from financial and housing concerns to low self-confidence or lack of skills – so we have specifically designed this programme to allow our dedicated coaches to look at each person on a case-by-case basis.”

The DWP Trailblazer Programmes are designed to support people with low motivation, low self-esteem and mental health concerns who are unlikely to engage in the process of looking for work. These new programmes will operate across Gloucester, Bristol, Derby and Coventry, and will run from January 2017 until January 2018.
